Checked into the Mantra Twin Towns which sits literally on the Queensland/NSW border - cross the road and you are in another state.
For those who don't know Queensland has all but closed its border to NSW which is a cesspit of plague. I have been unable to cross back to my home in Brisbane as I work in NSW and would need to go into mandatory hotel quarantine for 2 weeks on reentering QLD.
I had a stay a fortnight ago at this Mantra and was a bit disappointed with the small poky living area of the apartment I had been allocated and the lack of a Diamond upgrade. I mentioned this in my review of the property and received an email from the GM apologising and saying they would rectify it on my next visit ( I have several upcoming bookings). In the email back and forth I suggested a subterranean apartment so I could tunnel back to Brisbane.
You will notice in the photo of my welcome amenity a bucket and spade and some diamonds that they came across when they started digging the tunnel to give me a head start.
Just wonderful!
