I do agree with you where it would be nice if Chase did have this card as a $0.015 per point cash back option, that would make this way more valuable as dining and travel would at that point be 4.5% cash back.
I mean yea, that's what has been happening since March 2020. If they always keep at least one respectable PYB category (gas, grocery, and especially dining), that benefit alone makes card is a home run at $190 per year, separate from the other benefits that are also nice. The CFU and CFF frenzy the past 18 months on SUB/Grocery 5x/Referrals has made it embarrassingly easy to stockpile UR and move to CSR for PYB at 0.015 cpp. At that point, it becomes essentially 0.015 same as cash with PYB offsetting dining.
