LX.com done, mobile apps next:
One booking platform for all .coms
SWISS.com now on joint booking platform with other Lufthansa Group hub airlines
After the websites of Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Lufthansa Airlines, SWISS.com has now also been successfully migrated to the group-wide booking platform as part of the “adc.Evolution: B1 MOVE TOGETHER DESKTOP” project.
Travelers can now access the group-wide flight offer on every .com, including additional services such as baggage bookings, seat reservations and rebookings. This is a great advantage for all passengers and each hub airline will also benefit. “With the harmonized product and offer landscape, the airlines can sell their products better on the other websites as well. In addition, we can now make new offers and functions available more quickly with the harmonized booking platform,” says Martin Schwarz the Program Manager of “adc.Evolution, AD/SJ”. In the course of harmonization, some products and functions on the .coms are temporarily or no longer usable – this also affects swiss.com.
Second step: Migration to one booking platform
B1 MOVE TOGETHER DESKTOP also creates the basic prerequisite for an important second step towards harmonization: so that Lufthansa Group passengers can also enjoy the aforementioned advantages on the move, on smartphones and tablets, the various apps will be set up in the new joint booking platform oneBooking. Brussels Airlines will now be followed by Austrian Airlines and SWISS by the end of the year and Lufthansa Airlines next year. After that, the harmonized websites will also be integrated into oneBooking, which will then be used for all bookings on the websites and apps of the Lufthansa Group Hub Airlines. Eight different platforms will thus become one by 2023.
