The way I read it, only YOU get the 20,000 for each. They get whatever bonus they earn for meeting spend based on which card they pick.
Depending on what cards you fiance picks, she may get to CP quicker than you. I am having my wife get the premium biz card worth 80k and a personal worth 40k. And BOOM - she hits the 125,000 in January and we have CP for two more years.
