Three weeks and not a word from Cathay yet ... argh

Not trying to front run the change ... but quarantine hotel after Christmas break will be all booked out unless a lot of new hotels are added to the list. Cathay not making the flight cancellation official until a few weeks before the return flight means I may not be able to return to HK if I can't find a quarantine hotel room on the new date. I understand Cathay is in a bad place with the strict government policy but if they have zeroed out the stock and likely will not run the flight, why leave us hanging in the air?
