Thanks for replying - I'm a little confused, though. I want to use my Flying Blue miles to upgrade, not Delta miles. When I call Flying Blue they tell me it's theoretically possible to upgrade but not at the moment as there is no 'O' class tickets available. There are 50 open seats in J though, so I'm wondering when they will release those seats and, when they do, what my 'G' class ticket will count as when it comes to upgrading with miles.

Are you saying that because I bought my ticket through Delta I won't be able to use Flying Blue miles to upgrade in advance at all?
