Yesterday LHR-ALC 135 pax in total 40+ in Club. The crew managed to do a barrel service followed by the meal. Yesterday it was sausage and mash and I have to admit (begrudgingly) that my School Dinner was actually pleasant. The Lead was simply lovely. However she told me that there was single miniature of gin on the whole aircraft and she had been given 9 splits of Champagne for the whole cabin. Actually that was for the both sectors so no Champagne for thé inbound. She was mortified as the inbound was pretty packed as well.
I find that state of things absolutely shocking. Given the circumstances why they can’t ship the stuff in from France considering they have three flights a day to Paris and plenty of room in the hold, but then if you just do nothing and just let people complain then of course that makes it alright. I’m complaining now although I actually managed to get Sam. I think that putting the crew and passengers in that situation is all wrong. The whole club concept is about the soft product and meal service is what we used to sell it on charters and frankly what I had yesterday would’ve been on the children’s menu. It’s simply not good enough.
