"Once in a Lifetime" Promotion
It has always been my dream to fly Concorde. I was planning to do it next fall using AA miles (converted via Diners Club), but that is certainly not an option now.
My questions concern BA's "Once in a Lifetime" Concorde offer for US based customers.
i. Will one earn any BA EC miles using this promotion? If so, how many miles will be earned for each level of the promotion?
ii. Can someone comment on how quickly they think this 1000 seat promotion will sell out?
iii. I understand that recently some Concordes have been out of service getting new cockpit doors. Once that process is complete will they be keeping a back-up Concorde available for each flight out of LHR? It would be a definite shame to fly over to LHR and miss out on Concorde because of some technical issue!
iv. Does anyone have any opinion on whether or not Concorde onboard-service will be increased to its former levels for Concorde's last months. Will it go out in style?
v. Finally, since I've never flown BA before I'm a bit uncertain about the ammenities in the BA LHR terminal. If I were to take the evening Concorde back to JFK, could I spend a whole afternoon exploring all BA lounges? I've heard that there's BA spa in LHR, would I get access to this as well?
Thank you very much for taking the time to answer these questions.
