City Premier - no retention bonus offered.

I called in and told automated system cancel card, it took me to a prompt where it told me that I might lose any rewards and to say yes to cancel card. I think i took too long trying to quick log in an confirm I had zero points as it put me on hold for a representative. When they answered no retention bonuses were available and he told me I could product change with no credit pull. I tried to do the customized cash card but they were not able to do that one for some reason so I did the double cash. He told me to go to a branch if i wanted the customized cash but that is not convenient where I am.

I'll probably get the Premier again when eligible if they have a decent SUB. Hopefully I didn't make a mistake by product changing but it seemed like a better option than cancelling as I'd read somewhere that resets my clock on the premier.
