Hopefully enough folks report this error to Amex they fix it. And if any rep gives that bs line of “well it coded as front desk so it doesn’t count” hang up and try again for a rep who can be bothered to file the complaint and report to Amex it’s not coding right.
I just stayed at Conrad last week. I charged the room to my AMEX platinum rather than my Hilton Aspire to take advantage of an AMEX offer for $100 off a $500 stay at any Conrad or Waldorf Astoria in the USA.

The temporary charge/hold at check in hit my AMEX platinum as "RWLV main"

Then two days after I checked out, the actual charge hit as "RWLV FRONT DESLAS VEGAS NV"

I was skeptical, but three days later I got the email saying I earned the $100 offer credit.
