I received an email reminder from Hyatt today that points were extended due to the covid crisis, but will finally now expire after December 31, 2021 for people who don't have any activity for 24 months. I suppose many others would have received this reminder too.
Amusingly (or not), they say as part of the FAQs:

Anyway, it seems easy enough to extend, since Hyatt is a recipient program of many of those credit card programs. Although is anyone having any especially easy or low cost ideas on how to extend the points, or seeing any exceptions to the policy?
You can buy 1000 points for $24 and reset the clock.
