I have traveled to Europe with passport in similar situation and UA agent never gave second look, neither did FRA and CDG passport control. The only one who questioned was BTI travel agency's Visa and Passport specialist when she pointed to my passport expiration less than 6 months from date of trip. I had to educate her on the Schengen 3 month rule.
I would not bother renewing passport for this trip, considering the unknown length of time necessary for passport renewal these days.
