She is correct for most of the GCs. You can buy the Green Dot VGCs with a credit card, but you might have to talk them into trying to see that the POS system will allow it since most of them are unaware that those can be bought with CCs. It also takes awhile for the Green Dot VGCs to activate so don't try to use them immediately. I've had them activate in as soon as 20 minutes and as long as 24 hours, but on average it takes about 1-3 hours.
I bought Vanilla gc with a credit card with no issue 1 or 2 months ago in a different Walmart. The system definitely allows it. I did see the Green Dot gc there but have no experience using them. Do they work just like Vanilla gc do with the PIN already set?
