Testing was up to 25k per day for Tokyo during August, it has now dropped below 10K in recent days and trending towards <5K. Amazing how their testing regieme (not testing close contacts, telling majority of people reporting symptoms to recover at home, so unrecorded..) is completley overlooked in all of this.
Have not been following testing that carefully, but it looks like the percentage of positive tests is going down which suggests they haven't slacked off much on their testing regime.
