Paying for Seat Selection on BE Fares - Full of Pricing Traps
Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't treat someone like this in business - strikes me as unethical, or, at the least, sharp practices.
I'm looking at flights to London. I go through the booking motions the first time to get the lay of the land. I get to the upsell page and there is an offer of a "bundle" of seat selection for $56. But if you skip that "bundle" and go to seat selection, regular seats range between $16-$23. So if you opt for the bundle you will pay at lease $33 more than just going to seat selection.
I went later in the day to book and the seat "bundle" was now up to $59.
On the other hand, I'm flying United because I can get an aisle seat for $23, while BA would charge me $56 (the same price as the first UA bargain "bundle.")
