Yes it's real, and I already had my welcoming email when it launched. None of AS' systems know this though, still same bonus miles, and such.
Interesting. I have received
no welcoming email and on my Mileage Plan page it shows my Alaska miles flown as 158,126. All indicators say 0 miles or segments to MVP Gold 75K.
It should be noted these are status miles under this years extra benefits. If 100K actual miles are required, I'll pass that next month.
