I know LATAM you can do Same day change for free 24 hour before flight departure, to a flight earlier or later in the day if you buy a Top fare(economy plus).

Does anyone know if you are doing a same day change with my trips/latam app and the economy plus is not available, can you still select an economy seat to get on the way?

To get from SMR-CTG, you have to get through BOG/MDE. And it is much much cheaper to book it as a one way SMR-CTG with a long connection than booking two one ways, or booking the one way with a short connection. They are all TOP fare so free SDC would be easy to do I assume on day of and save a ton of $. But since PY is only two rows, curious if you can select just a Y seat and still do SDC (which is still better IMO for a short flight).

Thanks for all your help and input for anyone who has experinces with LATAM SDC! Their website and app isn't friendly to use with a ton of bugs so it worries me how easy it will be to do it when the time comes(no spanish so calling isn't much of an option).
