Some advice please for anyone who’s flown BA with golf clubs.



Booked LHR to FAO in 2 weeks for a group of 3. I have status (silver) one other has blue and nothing. Chose Economy extra (one above basic) which allows us to have one checked bag.

First question can our golf bags be the one checked bag? Do they have to be in a flight case or can the bag they sit in be sufficient?

Secondly. I’ve gone into manage my booking and had a look at baggage allowance and under each name it says 2 check baggage allowance. I know being Silver this allows me 2, though wasn’t aware this would include others travelling with me? Or is this wrong…



Lastly shame on me a little and off topic – didn’t realise Portugal doesn’t recognise the NHS app certificate as being vaccinated for Covid.

Therefore, I believe we need to do a latera flow test beforehand.
