Btw 24 segments is nothing. You should be getting 6 segments per RT (transit through PDX/LAX/SFO/SEA) so that would mean 4 trips. anyone getting 100k eqm should get this 24 segments no problem. Only those gaming AS qualification with BA/QX/QR flights should be worried.
I was clarifying that the spend is $2,500 under the new offer not 5K as you had stated.
No, you didn't mention segments, but I did so that people reading this thread understand that spending up to $20K dollars to earn up to 20K miles EQM on a credit card to reach 100K or more EQM isn't going to qualify anyone for the 100K Tier unless they have already met or will meet the 24 requisite AS segments.
If someone doesn't have the requisite AS segments and spends on the credit card thinking they will be a new MVPG100K Elite Member in late January will be sorely disappointed.
Nobody here is debating the onerousness or ease of flying 24 AS Segments. I agree it is nothing.. I flew my 24th "qualifying" segment back in early March. It is easy to do even if most of your 100K EQM comes from BA/AA/CX/JL/QR or any other partner,
oneworld or otherwise. You can earn 100K EQM with 8 flights.
Wouldn't routing through a connection be 4 segments on a return and require 6 itineraries? Or should I be double connecting? The only destination from my city served by AS is SEA so all my itineraries have a minimum of 4 segments for a return. The only issue for me is the last AS flight departed 537 days ago.
