Exactly. I once was yelled at by a dude for putting my overhead on his suit jacket, which I couldn't see, above his seat in F.
It's shared space. Let's all try to make it work. For everyone you might want to scowl at for taking 'your' space, it could be you last on board from a connection who needs someone to cut you some slack and move their belongings next time...
