Like most of you, I have been at the end of this nonsense. Some woman and her conssort came on at Alicante, presumably a scion of the Benidorm Aristocracy and had no room above her head for her rather large Prada handbag fresh from the vendor on the Playa de Poniente. Her husband who was clearly her inferior in girth and education said to me
" Oi - that yours?"
"It is" said I
"Then move it" said she " That's our space"
"It is not" I replied " It is shared space and above me it is full" (d*mn crew bags again).
Madame told her Porter to move the "copulating" thing - ne'er moind what she says - it's 'ers an' I don want it vere"

The Purser stepped in and told "Sir" that it would have to go further back and that she did not want that sort of language as there were children and other passengers to consider. She was livid but impotent. She proceeded to find fault with everything in general and Him in particular. An Ipad, sound cancelling Sonys, and plenty of Champagne and it is amazing what you can ignore. In the end someone else complained and hell had no fury like a woman whose Prada bag is elsewhere.

Ultimately, had the crew not used the small amount of space for their bags this might never have happened, and it is one of the few things that can irritate me aboard.
