I'm not entirely clear what solution you are actually seeking. Can you be a bit clearer about what you have in mind? (sorry if it is clearer to others than to me). i just don't think that 'I don't want this' or 'I want something that would be like an FTV but not an FTV' makes it very easy for BA to find a solution and it seems to me that your position will be stronger if you specifically describe what you want (even accepting this may not be possible) rather than just rejecting their option but expecting them to do the creative thinking. Not a criticism, but rather something i genuinely believe would increase your chances to get a resolution.
