I had a stay 5+ years ago though I doubt the pool has changed. It has a small pool with pleasant views. Enough to take a dip and cool down but nothing fancy. You can take a long walk or drive down (used to be a shuttle Pre-Covid and Pre-Conversion of the hotel to Royal Sonesta) and swim at Kalapaki Beach. Marriott's Kauai Lagoons - Kalanipu'u units were built to Ritz Carlton standards and are quite nice and very spacious. The Lanai had a full size table for outdoor dining. Nice quiet place to stay. If you're looking to be in the thick of things with a large resort pool and walking distance to restaurants and the beach go somewhere else. If you're okay with driving to the beach, restaurants, etc. it is a great place to stay.
