My sister let her drivers license expire in Aug 2020 and never got around to renewing it. She will go to the CA DMV this week to do the renewal but it takes like 3 weeks to get the new license card. They will give her a paper license to use with her expired card in the interim but can that combination be used at a domestic TSA checkpoint? We have a very ill sibling on the east coast so trying to get back there sooner vs waiting 3-4 weeks for the new DL card to arrive. Her passport is also long expired and she has no other picture ID.
