Hi,
I have just under 700,000 Flying Blue Miles and never spent any since joining FB. Since I am not flying anymore and almost certain to not fly again since my destiantion countries remain closed (probably for a very long time to foreigners - but that's not a topic I want to discuss). Instead I have been taking domestic weekends away from home to London. Up to now I have been making hotel reservations by logging into the FB website and using the With Partners to get to Booking.com (
https://www.flyingblue.co.uk/en/earn...m/presentation), see image. I log into Booking.com and then pay for a hotel resevrvation and gain a few FB Miles in the process. I like Booking.com over Hotels for Miles (PointsHound) as I find there is lots more room etc. information, lots of photos and cancellation/refund policy is clearly defined.
However, as the hotel price has doubled since the summer (June, July) I would like to use FB Miles instead of cash - since they are just sitting in my FB account. I usually stay at Holiday Inn (I do not want luxury nor do I want bargin basement). I am after advice on the best way (e.g. get the most from my FB Miles) to book hotel reservation in London using FB Miles? I cannot see to redeem FB Miles in Booking.com (via the FB website). PointsHound always redemptions but as I said above that website lacks information about cancellation/refund policies, room details etc. I am not a member of any hotel loyalty programme. Also I get errors on the FB website trying to create the link to the Accor Live Limitless account.
Booking.com earns me 1 FB Mile for 1 Euro spent (although I purchase in Pounds Stirling). I am certain I cannot redeem at the same rate, so what would be a good redempetion rate? I have only seen 1 pence (GBP) = 1 FB Miles written here

Apologies for the long message. Thanks.
