They razed the building back in 2017 for the construction, so it now sits as an empty lot with high grass on it.
What I found weird is that Miller's spent close to $500K to expand it to allow hybrid outside seating just a year before they closed it down. With the College crowd from FIU, Barry Univ. and Miami Dade North, this location was always packed. Surprising, they decided not to find a new location nearby. Duffy's opened about 1/2 mile to the East in 2015, and now is just as packed on most nights, however, their food and service is not the same as Ale House was.
I was first introduced to Miller’s back in Pensacola maybe 7-8 years ago. I was very disappointed when they dropped the mahi cooked in foil from the menu. This one is in the Villages and unless you get there before 4 pm, you will wait for a table. They have one dining room without walls except in summer, but the server shortage has kept that room closed for now. As with many restaurants lately, the menu’s been shortened considerably and the beer selection could use improvement.
The concept I miss is BJs Ale House. Their menu is the size of a short novel. Beer selection is good as long as you stay away from the garbage they brew themselves.
