Then cabin crew offer to find a space for my carry on in the rear overhead bins as there seems to be loads of space and inform me that my bag is in an empty bin above seat 25

Then upon arrival have to wait for all the other passengers to leave before being able to retrieve my carry on from the back.....
with the cases in the full bins above my head disappearing one by one as the economy passengers filed past from the back and retrieved them.
