I experienced this problem as well. Was extremely frustrating because I advanced far enough in the booking process to remove the relevant seats from the award inventory for a few hours.

Oddly, when I tried again the next day with the intention of just using the incorrect birth dates and seeking to fix them post-booking (per the advice of a Twitter reply I saw from Iberia to someone else), I was able to input the correct birth dates.
