Thank you for all the replies.

To specify we purchased 1st class tickets and the aircrafts do not have a business section as you would think for domestic routes. Got a nice deal too. . I do not think Polaris is offered for domestic flights, only on business class for international flights. As I recall for Polaris service the color of the chosen seat indictated older vs. the newer seats.

Outbound the aircraft is a 777-300 ER.

Inbound its a 787-8. Both have a 1-2-1 configuration and I hope its stays that way. Originally the outbound was also a 787-8 but was changed.

When we flew to Delhi via Beijing Jan. 2020 the outbound was changed 4 times including the day before and the day of departure. We did end up in the Global services section or something like that which I understand is the old first class section so good luck for us that day.

On the UAL seat map there is a pic of the seats and it looks like the seats we had for our biz ORD-PEK flight as noted above. We shall see.
