E.g., they hit various times, back and forth, between 8:55 and 9:25 departure.

What would cause continual minute changes in the schedule, when weather is not an issue? Back and forth, back and forth, back and forth? What sense does this make? Why do I keep getting these? It's like a monkey has gotten control of the computer and keeps hitting a button.
WN is an airline that has a high reliance on incoming and continuing flights and crews.

a delay early on the day causes delays later. Since flight schedukes have some buffer some time can be made up. Volume at airport coukd factor in landing time thst can also make up times.

there is uncertainty between when a flight leaves the fate, wait to take off, fly time, land time, and approach to gate can all vary by 5-10 minutes plus or minus.

at hub citues like bwi they coukd replace an aircraft to catch up the flight. Thus coukd mess up thru pax.

I had thus happen on east-west flights in Denver where I was a thru pax but didn’t make my connection because the flight was delayed and they replaced the plane.
