Apparently, National changed the terms of the Big 10 contract but their systems still allowed the rate code to be used for reservations but was not honored at return. Huge hassle. National botched the rollout. No one at the University seems to know the details for the new contract.
If it's a B1G contract wouldn't that be handled through the Conference office in Chicago? I wouldn't expect anyone at the University to know any more than "We can use this code that B1G office got for us." I would expect you would need to call Chicago to find out the exact terms of the contract.
