Finally got to Nimmo Bay this past weekend. It did not disappoint. Beautiful property/setting, great rooms, intimate setting with only 12 guests while we were there. Apparently usually around high teens low 20s guest wise. Excellent seamless service execution from staff and management, no set schedules or group activities. Food was excellent. The family that runs it has a real presence which you can really feel from the product. Although we didn't dislike Sonora a few years ago, nor Tweedsmuir last summer, this place is clearly on another level. Another guest had visited Clayoquot lodge as well, and the sense was that service execution is not on the same level with the larger groups. I won't be speaking from experience for that property, if I return to a lux destination it will be Nimmo
We weren't really wildlife focused this trip, having done orca/bear trips before and just wanting to relax, the couple who did had a great time with several whale sightings; although i'd say if grizzly sightings are the main goal can't beat Khutz lodge (not as luxurious of course)
a few pics on my blog,
