We haven't stayed at the GB (or Syntagma) in years....I gave up when it became more and more difficult to request a specific floor or the location of what room or suite we would be in. Location of the rooms is so vast and variable......some are pretty dark. We now stay in small upscale hotels in Plaka....where we know exactly which room or suite we have reserved. BTW.... when I lived in Athens in 1977 it was the Hilton that was constantly the battleground of demonstrations as Greece was heavily into one of their anti-American phases.
