When you need more meals past the floater, you ask the other side. If you have someone on the other side who says ok it is great for you but not for them. It is always worth asking the other side to concede because you have to work your own side and you would love to have your people get their meal choices.
It's kind of a selfish thing. Knowing you have to work that side for up to 13 hours you want to make sure that you got them what you could.
OK - that makes sense. I am sure I will like the results if I ever end up on the good end of this maneuver. But can you tell me why I am ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS seated on the side of the plane with the slowest FA? ALWAYS! Even when I am in the middle seat, I end up with the slowest one. The FA that is faster taking orders leaves my middle seat for the slower FA. It makes me feel like the proverbial red-headed step-child.
All right, that's enough from me. End of whine. (And I promise I am always on my best behavior on the plane; I don't whine or complain about FEBO or anything else.
