And they are serious about the 12 hours. I had a 12:05 connection last year and they would not check through. The system would not allow it and they even tried to manually force it through until a supervisor came out and said no. I don’t blame them, the limit is the limit. Otherwise if they allow 5 minutes, why not 10. Or 15. Or even an hour longer. I get it. I just keep it under 12 hours now on the very rare occasion that I have to check a bag.
