This is a nice, new HP.
Pros:
-New build, modern lobby and decor
-Fire pit/outdoor patio area
-Carrabba's Italian Grill located on premises (in addition to standard HP bar)
-Very friendly staff (they proactively set our room to 65°F and had loofahs in the bathroom because they looked at my WOH profile notes)
-Some of the "view" rooms are oversized (~500 square feet instead of ~350)
-Good location for walking to downtown Moncton restaurants or events
-Globalist waters are delivered in a paper sack to the room with a handwritten note each morning
-Gym is nicer than average
Cons:
-Breakfast buffet is very mediocre (though probably average for a HP these days)... industrial "eggs," flimsy/greasy bacon, chalky potatoes, etc.
-Shower water pressure is on the weak side
-No guest laundry facility onsite
-Pool is small
-No valet parking
Parking is $13 CAD/night with in-and-out privileges. You have to have the front desk validate your ticket each time you exit, but you keep the same ticket throughout.
This is currently a Cat 1 property, so 5000/points a night was a great deal and meant free parking for me as a Glob. Would stay again. It was about a 12 minute walk to Bore Park. HP staff recommended the Tide & Boar Brewery (as opposed to the smaller Tide & Boar restaurant downtown) and it was indeed a great place, fun vibe and lots of good beer on tap. Staff also recommended Mexi's which had surprisingly good Cali/Mexican food. The honey garlic ghost pepper hot sauce and the smoked peach one were great on the fajitas.
