I am a Hilton Diamond, Hyatt Globalist, IHG Spire Elite and Marriott Platinum. I spend about 100 days a year traveling around the world with a LOT of stays in hotels. I had several free night certificates with several hotels including Hyatt, IHG, Hilton and a few others. But I read such amazing things about this hotel and its location that I decided to use 60,000 points to stay here during my quick 1 night stay in Athens before coming to Mykonos.

I don't regret it for a second. I used one of my suite night upgrade certificates and it cleared about 5 nights before my arrival. It upgraded to a fabulous garden view suite. Great and thoughtful touches like a handwritten note from the GM along with a small bottle of Greek liquor and the most beautiful fresh-cut red roses. The room was very spacious. The AC worked great. Blackout blinds, the room was extremely quiet. The staff was all super friendly. The rooftop restaurant/bar on the 8th floor was great with really fabulous views. Strong water pressure with really cold (great after a long day out) and hot water too. The bathroom products were Aqua di Parma shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and a big bar of soap. The sizes of all of these were bigger so you can take it with you. This is my favorite bathroom product even at home so this was like a home away from home.

They had tons of free bottles of cold water in the lobby for everyone and you could take as many as you wanted. That was a nice touch. I took a taxi here from the airport and it took about 35 minutes with no traffic as it was sunday. On Monday, I used the Beat App (like Uber) and it worked flawlessly setting me up to send a regular taxi at a fixed flat rate of 35 Euros. I loved that I could use my credit card unlike when I came to the hotel the taxi would only take cash. So definitely use the Beat App. It was great.

As a Platinum they have me an option of 1,000 points or breakfast. Definitely take the breakfast buffet option. It was great and you could order made-to-order eggs as well. I got the benedict and it was great.

The location is unbeatable right in the heart of the best neighborhood. Do yourself a favor and eat at The Greco's Project which is a few blocks from the hotel. The food was AMAZING!!! And very affordable. I thought I had Greek food before but never had real Greek food after visiting this place. I'm a big foodie and I was talking to the manager there and he said no one uses fresh ingredients like many Athens restaurants. I'm here in Mykonos now and it can't compare with Athens.

This hotel definitely is worth staying at and if I go to Athens again, I'd definitely stay here again even paying vs. free hotel certificates I have with other hotels. Kudos to the management on a fabulous hotel, staff and operations.

So I'm confused....did you like the hotel?
