Your receipt should have a ticket number - look for a 16-digit number starting with 001. That is all they have now. No paper tickets.
Your boarding pass won't be sent to you automatically. You have to check in on aa.com or on the AA app up to 24h before departure (or in the airport, but you should check in the day prior online).
