I'm coming off of a 120 night stay at a Marriott Autograph Hotel property that was split up into two folios -- between May and August, and then August through my checkout in early September.
During the first stay, the hotel sprung a leak -- water was literally bubbling up through the courtyard -- and they needed to walk everyone to another property for a few nights, as they needed to turn off the water to all of the rooms in order to fix the problem. They walked me to the
Le Méridien down the road for a night, then, brought me back the next night once they turned the water back on.
My spend for the first part of the stay was close to 12K.
Unfortunately, I've been battling Marriott to get that stay credited because the Le Meriden posted that night to my account -- so it looks like I'm staying in two hotels on one night -- and Marriott has just opened it's third "internal case" to try to get this resolved for me. I called 10 days after my stay had ended, they created a case, but then closed it the same day because of the overlapping stays, then they had me email a second department, which took a week before closing that case due to the overlapping stay, and now I'm on my third case ... but, honestly, I'm not really hopeful that this one is going to be credited to my account, either.
I've tried explaining -- both on the phone and through email when creating the second case -- that I was walked to another property because the hotel didn't have water on those nights -- but, the phone agents (while sympathetic) struggled to understand what was going on. Is there someone I can escalate this case to (other than
[email protected]) to try to get this 12K in spend and nights credited to my account?
