That would make sense to me too, but ZonaFlyer said they got Plat/Plat Pro as an Explorist. Not that it really matters. I have enough EOY flying to maybe hit Plat under the offer terms, but probably not PP. I suppose it could be that they were already Gold, while my AA status has lapsed completely (and locked up all those stickers I still need to use).
I received a marketing email from the AA side that said up to Platinum Pro as well, but when I click through to the Hyatt offers side (which is the source of this status challenge), it's only up to Platinum. Perhaps the "up to Platinum Pro" stuff is just the catch all marketing script, and not customized/targeted.
