I have not seen FEBO abandoned either - at least not this year. But I did witness something that didn't seem to honor the spirit of FEBO on a recent DFW-FRA flight. The FA on the opposite side of the plane was taking orders more quickly than the one on my side. As the other one reached the last few rows of her side, she would call over to the FA on my side to ask if certain meals remained. The first time *my* FA said "sure" and crossed that selection off her list. But this happened several other times. The FA on my side became more and more reluctant to give up her selections before she had finished taking orders. However, the other FA was VERY persistent and she ended up mooching all the meals her pax wanted from my side. Which meant, of course, that the pax in the last two rows on my side had absolutely nothing left to choose from. I guess technically they followed FEBO, but the pax in the last rows on my side were competing for meal choices with the whole J cabin, instead of just half the J cabin. Grrrrrr.
