1) As already mentioned, underseat stowage in front of you, slightly less hassle with the overhead stowage.
2) Not getting slammed by every backpack of people boarding after you.
3) If you always get 2A, it's good on every aircraft and you don't even have to think about it. I've had plenty of trips that were four consecutive 2A seats.
4) On the E75s you don't have a neighbor if you're in 2A
