This is just me, but to reveal how shallow I am, RE: 7A and 2A, when I'm reserving into PC or upgrading into FC:
1) I like to be able to stow things under the seat in front of me, if I care to; 1A and 6A don't allow for that;
2) I prefer window seats;
3) I'm blind in my left eye, and sitting on the left side of the plane makes it easier to see when FAs are coming by for drink orders, and I hate to have to be called twice or tapped on the arm by a seatmate to order my G&T or Bourbon, depending on the mood.
