snotty gate agent
Just a little rant ...
As I generally do, in order to plan my seat-selection strategy, I asked the gate agent (scanning boarding passes) how many empty seats there would be. He gave me a nasty look and said "the flight is full". I repeated the question to a flight attendant on board, and she told me there were about 30 empty seats. It soon became clear that she was truthful.
Was it obnoxious of me to ask the gate agent ? Was his lie excusable ? Not the biggest deal in the world, but it is not the kind of attitude I'm used to on Southwest.
