The way I've always analyzed these things, is that the base WoH program is usually superior to other programs with bonuses. And I only have enough travel for top tier in one program.

So, I don't chase the bonuses, I make 99% of my trips independent of what the bonuses are.

But I think what I collect on the bonuses outweighs the 'likelihood' of experiencing an ill effect of 'too many elites'. So, in that vein, I wouldn't mind a bonus showing up and starting before my next trip (which is on points, so, a points rebate or a per night bonus sounds good to me!).
