Ok, every once and awhile have to reminisce about what the non-stop DFW/ORD Hawaii non-stop service used to be like. Am sure some here will remember. Our first DFW-HNL-DFW non stop in FC was 2005-2006. Here’s what it was like.
767-300 - recliner sleeper seats ( prior to NGBC angled lie flat ) 60 plus inch pitch.
PDB - Champagne, Mimosas, or OJ
FA came to your seat with greetings by name. Menus. Went over entree selections and took your order (no pre-order yet) sometimes prior to take off or after.
After 10K feet - Drink service. Warmed nut mix. Then the “show” began.
Individual salad service at your seat. Large full round plate salad. Two/three dressing choices. FA dressed salad and served individually in front of you. Warm breads offered.
When you finished salad, plate removed. Entree served individually, when you were ready for it.
Entree plate(s) removed.
Handmade sundaes, after dinner cordials (or drink of choice) ,coffee, tea, fruit/cheese plate served from a silver service cart at your seat. FA made sundaes as you watched.
Drinks offered through out.
Pre arrival. Offered another fruit/cheese plate.

Ah, well . . .
