You can get very good cheddar at the supermarket in the UK
- Waitrose Cornish Quartz 3 year old vintage is on the deli counter at the moment.
- M&S do a 3 year old vintage Cornish Cruncher as a limited edition usually around Christmas.
- Davidstow do a 3 year vintage as a limited edition and can be found in Sainsbury’s, Tesco and even Asda. Sometimes on promo as well.

but the best is Davidstow 60 month special reserve only available through their own website, and as used by Michelin starred restaurants. £22/kg but very worthwhile.
