We've been more or less promotion free for 24 hours and no one has complained. Yes there's some double points, work from home, credit card deals but the "Standard" Bonus Journey's of some kind is no where to be found and not active and no one has speculated or whined yet!
Best part? I am kinda ok with it! I mean, I'd love to earn 3x points again now that I have some actual needed stays coming up, I let families have the summer... but... not having promos for a minute means we might actually value them when something returns... and keeps the quantity of Globalists slightly at bay. While I can appreciate what you’re saying and wouldn’t even mind if the next promo started on 10/1 I’d still kind of like to know what it is or at least some speculation.
I’d hope for -
Points Multiplier (2x or 3x) can require an initial stay to “activate” but provide 2,500 points for Elite Members on initial stay would be okay.
Points Rebate on Award Stays (15% would be okay)
Complimentary Parking for Globalists on paid stays.
Something also to consider is that Hilton just announced full status extensions and all nights earned in 2021 will be rolled over to 2022.
So taking that into account -
Possibly to consider whatever nights earned only in Q4 May be rolled over into 2022, just a thought.
I know Hyatt has been generous in Q1, but I’ve found Q2 and Q3 to be lacking, it definitely didn’t spur any additional travel from me. Adding rollover nights for Q4 doesn’t interfere with the lowered requirements meaning no extra Globs for this year, it does help to boost travel in Q4 with Delta looming though.
