It's really not a big deal. People abuse it, but people abuse pretty much every airline "benefit".

The argument that you have to walk around the wheel chairs is weak and doesn't really help your case. It's one of those things where I don't really have the time/energy to be outraged and I honestly don't really care. AA doesn't care that you're outraged by this and they aren't going to change it because this "Jetway Jesus" thing has been around forever.
