Kimpton Doha - how exciting, and what a way to launch the brand in the Middle East! I am invited to a Kimpton brand event in Dubai next week, so it makes sense that it will be to announce a regional launch.
Since it's opening soon, my guess is it will be in the recently-constructed building that was supposed to be Conrad Doha. It's right across from the Westin and next to the Radisson Blu on the C-Ring Road [also known as Suhaim Bin Hamad Street], so my money is on this building.
EDIT: I did a bit of poking around, and the Kimpton will open in what was
initially announced in 2018 as Majlis Grand Mercure Doha. All the specs are the same: 223 rooms, 60 serviced apartments and nine restaurants. It'll also have an infinity pool with views of the West Bay and Gulf along with the requisite spa, health club and meeting rooms.
